Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks.

Essential Functions

- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, PLC, and facilities (including heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, air, hydraulics, and general facility).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using strong problem-solving skills.
- Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, air compressor systems, plumbing, and machinery.
- Analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
- Monitor machines to identify and promptly address malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment for repairs.
- Provide technical guidance and training to machine operators.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards.
- Communicate with other departments regarding efficiency concerns or production restrictions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with parts and supplies inventory reporting.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Follow all safety protocols (Lockout-tagout, PPE, confined space safety) and adhere to FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, and food safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

- 10+ years of experience repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Education or training in electronics and electrical systems.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and work order systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and co-workers.
