Position Overview- Join a leading Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division as a Mechanical Engineer and become part of a dynamic team focused on advancing aerospace technology. In this role, you will support mechanical systems, testing initiatives, and hydraulic applications within an R&D Test Lab environment. You?ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects. This team fosters a strong learning culture that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently while also taking direction from senior engineers and contributing effectively within a high-performance team. Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the R&D Lab team, following direction from senior engineers on active projects Design and upgrade pressure, flow, and spray test stands, with a focus on improving automation using control valves and sensors Develop and enhance test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to improve operational efficiency Support calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability Actively participate in a high-performance team environment, contributing across multiple functions as needed Present project plans, data, and results; generate detailed reports to support decision-making Assist fellow engineers with projects and tasks to promote a collaborative work environment Maintain a safe work environment aligned with a zero-incident safety culture Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field Hands-on experience with mechanical system design, fabrication, and troubleshooting Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency in scientific documentation and reporting Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities, universities, and suppliers Must be a U.S. Person Preferred Qualifications- Master?s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Experience with mechatronics, automation, test instrumentation, and data acquisition Familiarity with soldering and fabrication equipment Experience with programming and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, and/or ANSYS | |
