JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Strategic Sourcing Manager for our client in Westbrook! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $40.00/Hour Shift:8a - 5pm onsite 2x per week The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for their assigned spend categories within the IT Organization, including the associated suppliers, internal stakeholders and the sourcing strategy.This person will drive sourcing initiatives, negotiations and strategies, which have a significant financial impact for specific functional/operational areas or specific spend categories. In addition, you will deliver value-added category management activities which include client stakeholder management, contract management, supplier performance / risk management, supply market monitoring, continuous improvement, ongoing cost reductions, supplier review and issue resolution. Ability to bring others with you and influence both internal and external stakeholders. Project management skills combined with strategic and critical thinking. Strategic sourcing experience with the ability to manage complex projects, communication, strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier value and drive continuous improvement required. Responsibilities Work closely with internal IT stakeholders to help drive new cost reduction initiatives. Lead the development of strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate price, terms and quality requirements with suppliers for initiatives of ranging value, including high-value, technically complex products and services (IT Hardware, Software, Telecommunications and IT Consulting & Services). Support global IT organization in implementing best practices in all phases of contracting processes for IT products and services. Work with all levels of the IT organization to transform business requirements for IT products and services into actionable scope of works/specifications. Must haves/Desirables: To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and / or Category Management associated with Information Technology (IT). A Bachelor?s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in Indirect Procurement supporting technology projects is desired.CPSM, APICS or other supply chain management certification is a plus. Training and/or experience with LEAN and Six Sigma practices. | |
