Pay Rate - $32.50/hr Shift: 3x12s Job Description The Travel Medical-Surgical CNA/PCT provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced acute care setting. This role supports multiple nursing units as needed and is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing patient care tasks while maintaining strong communication with interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care including vital signs, hygiene, mobility assistance, and activities of daily living (ADLs) Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly Support clinical procedures and ensure proper patient preparation Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols and hospital policies Respond to call lights and patient requests in a timely and professional manner Assist with specimen collection, intake/output tracking, and basic bedside procedures Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members Float to different units as required to meet patient care needs Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum of 3+ years of CNA/PCT or related patient care experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or acute care setting Experience using EPIC EMR system Demonstrated knowledge of patient care procedures and clinical workflows Completion of facility orientation prior to clinical unit onboarding Preferred Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification Nursing student with verification of completion of at least two semesters of an accredited nursing program Graduate of a nursing program awaiting NCLEX/licensure Prior travel or float pool experience in hospital settings Core Competencies Strong patient care and clinical support skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively Work Environment & Requirements Travel assignment with potential for floating across multiple units Must be comfortable working days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients for extended periods | |
