Reliable, user-friendly audio visual (AV) systems are critical to enabling seamless meetings, internal events, and cross-office collaboration. As an AV Systems Engineer, Automation & Operations, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the enterprise AV environment across multiple offices. This role focuses on operational reliability, system monitoring, and control system support, ensuring conference room technology functions consistently and issues are identified and resolved before impacting employees. You will support an AV environment that includes approximately 200 Zoom Rooms and 25 Integrated AV room systems (Q-SYS) across portfolios. This is a hands-on technical role that blends AV systems knowledge with scripting, automation, and troubleshooting to maintain a high-quality employee experience. This role includes onsite, in-person AV support and participation in system installations and room deployments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: AV Systems Operations & Support Provide day-to-day support for Zoom Room conferencing and AV systems across offices. Monitor system health and respond to issues impacting Zoom Rooms and AV control systems. Troubleshoot and resolve AV hardware, software, and network-related issues. Provide both remote and onsite support, including in-room troubleshooting when required. Support Workplace and event teams to ensure reliable execution of hybrid meetings and internal events. Participate in critical support windows for high-priority meeting times. AV Control Systems (Q-SYS) Support Maintain and update Q-SYS control system configurations across multiple rooms. Support troubleshooting of control system behavior, including audio, video, and device integrations. Lead deployment of configuration updates and validation across systems. Ensure consistency and reliability of AV system performance across the portfolio. Monitoring, Alerting & Automation Support and maintain AV monitoring and alerting systems that track conference room health. Investigate alerts and system logs to proactively identify and resolve issues. Assist in maintaining integrations with tools such as Slack, Splunk, and other monitoring platforms. Contribute to improving system reliability through automation and proactive issue detection. Scripting & Tooling Support Support maintenance of scripts and tools used for AV system monitoring and management. Assist in troubleshooting and updating automation workflows and system integrations. Own alert ingestion pipelines (webhooks ? AWS Lambda ? Slack/Splunk Help maintain deployment processes for AV control systems and configurations. Document system behavior, known issues, and troubleshooting steps. Cross-Functional Collaboration Proactively collaborate with Workplace, Networking, Infrastructure, and IT teams to resolve issues, provision devices and maintain system reliability. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding system status and issues. Support knowledge sharing and documentation to improve team efficiency. Onsite AV Support & Project Assistance Provide hands on, in person troubleshooting and support for AV systems in conference rooms and zRetreat spaces. Assist with project implementation including onsite testing and troubleshooting during commissioning. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience supporting AV systems, IT systems, or similar technical environments. Experience working with conference room technologies such as Zoom Rooms, AV control systems, or similar platforms. Strong background with Q-Sys, specifically Lua and JSON scripting. Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar) is preferred. Experience with monitoring or observability tools (e.g., Splunk, logging systems, alerting tools) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networked systems. Ability to work independently and prioritize issues in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to support both technical and non-technical users. Comfortable with hands-on AV work including basic installation, cabling, and troubleshooting. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality experiences. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift. Familiarity with GitLab is a plus. | |
