Key Responsibilities Inventory Organization & Identification Sort and organize inventory by part number, product type, and assigned location. Identify materials accurately using part numbers, descriptions, and reference documents. Assign and verify physical locations (racks, bins, floor locations) as directed. Ensure inventory is stored in a clean, safe, and accessible manner. Labeling & Documentation Create, print, and apply inventory labels using part numbers and descriptions. Operate a laminating machine to produce durable labels for racks, bins, and inventory. Ensure labels are legible, accurate, and consistently applied. Replace damaged, missing, or incorrect labels as needed. System & Computer Use Enter, update, and verify inventory information using Excel or warehouse systems. Cross-check physical inventory against system records to ensure accuracy. Report discrepancies, shortages, or unidentified items to the supervisor. Inventory Accuracy & Control Assist with cycle counts, physical counts, and inventory audits. Support tracking of incoming and outgoing materials as assigned. Help maintain organized records that support inventory traceability. Housekeeping & Safety Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including racks and storage zones. Follow warehouse safety procedures and proper material handling practices. Use equipment, tools, and machines safely and correctly. Communication & Support Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding inventory issues. Assist other warehouse personnel as needed to support operational priorities. Follow standard work instructions and process improvements as implemented. Required Skills & Qualifications Basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, or similar systems). Ability to read, understand, and match part numbers accurately. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to operate basic office and warehouse equipment (printer, laminator). Ability to lift, move, and organize inventory in a warehouse environment (within safety guidelines). Preferred Qualifications Prior warehouse or inventory experience. Experience with ERP or WMS systems (Epicor or similar). Familiarity with barcode labeling systems. Performance Expectations Accurate identification and labeling of inventory. Organized storage locations that are easy to locate and audit. Timely completion of assigned inventory tasks. Consistent adherence to safety and process standards. | |
