Summary: The Inventory Control will manage the inventory levels of the warehouse. Incumbent will reconcile actual stock levels compared to what is captured in our internal systems and rectify any returns or special request orders impacting the inventory levels of the branch. Essential Job Functions: ? Perform counts and ensure all inventory for the branch is accounted for and reported according to company policy ? Help resolve any discrepancies in actual stock levels vs. what is captured in P21 ? Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and product numbers ? Work with Returns and AP to ensure accurate inventory is captured ? Manage cycle counts on a regular basis ? Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders ? Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary ? Keep an accounting of depleted products and survey of un-useable products ? Perform stock inspection and examine items for defects or damaged stock ? Maintain proper inventory tagging and label stock appropriately in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies ? Maintain and update inventory records ? Perform other duties assigned ? Work mandatory overtime as needed Qualifications: ? 3+ years in a warehouse or construction industry preferred ? Working knowledge of electrical products strongly preferred ? Knowledge of distribution center operations and warehouse logistics ? Strong analytical and mathematical skills ? Experience with inventory management software (ex. P21) ? Excellent written and verbal communications skills ? Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Date Revised: 10/14/19 Supervisor Responsibilities: None Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 30 pounds, sit, communicate, reach, manipulate objects, tools or controls, climb ladders and/or operate a forklift. The position requires mobility, manual dexterity and coordination over 50% of the time while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines. Working Conditions: Office or warehouse environment. May be exposed to dust, heat or cold, and other environment seasonal changes. Minimum physical exertion. | |
