Position Summary The Product Development Engineer I supports new product development and commercialization by executing engineering projects, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with quality and design control standards. This role works cross-functionally to deliver efficient, innovative, and compliant solutions in a fast-paced R&D environment. Key Responsibilities Support new product development and engineering deliverables Perform data analysis and prepare technical reports Assist with installation and qualification of R&D equipment Develop and validate test methods (Gage R&R, inspections) Support Design Control activities (DHF, DFMEA, DMR documentation) Conduct engineering testing (performance, reliability, usability) Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations Assist with process validation and technology transfer Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and BD quality standards Qualifications Bachelor???s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred) 1???2 years of product development or engineering experience Experience in FDA-regulated environments preferred (21 CFR, ISO 13485) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience with statistical tools (Minitab, Excel) Knowledge of root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) Strong communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams Preferred Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry Process improvement or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt a plus) Why BD?
