We are currently hiring for an I.T. Data Support Specialist for an administrative office in a large well known automotive parts manufacturing company in Auburn Hills, MI! We are in need of someone with an IT background to assist with the organization of internal and outside provider back-up tapes. Office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. (However, may be flexible for a someone who prefers to start at 8:30 am or 9:00 am.) Duties include: Organization of cases of tapes. Dispose of tapes no longer need. Work with internal and external teams. Explain to local I.T. at sites how to properly store and organize tapes. Potentially work on recalling backup tapes and conducting restores to consolidate tapes. Conduct cost analysis to optimize budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities. Will work on-site. No travel required. Knowledge/Skills I.T. and data support knowledge Ability to adapt fast Experience with Simpana or Veeam backup systems and tape libraries preferred. But will train if necessary.
