Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager
Salary Range: $120K - $130K | ACIP Bonus 12.5%

Position Summary-
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of accounting data while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

The Accounting Manager will supervise the AP and AR team, maintain strong internal controls, and support financial reporting, forecasting, and operational improvement initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and experience working within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities-
Financial & Accounting Management

Oversee the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations within the business unit.

Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies.

Prepare, analyze, record, and report accounting transactions.

Maintain accuracy and completeness of AP and AR subledgers.

Support the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and financial analysis.

Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise and guide AP and AR accounting staff.

Manage staff selection, training, development, and performance management.

Foster a high-performing accounting team aligned with organizational goals.

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

Ensure internal accounting controls are established and functioning effectively.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

Analyze accounting systems and processes and recommend improvements.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.

Collaboration & Reporting

Communicate regularly with department leaders, division controllers, and accounting teams.

Generate reports and provide updates regarding AR/AP performance and trends.

Ensure compliance with corporate objectives related to accounting operations.

Required Qualifications-
Education

Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or related field (required)

Experience-
5+ years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

1?2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

Experience working in aerospace or manufacturing industries strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

Knowledge of financial reporting and financial analysis

Experience managing AP/AR processes within manufacturing operations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights for business decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership and team development capabilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial systems
