Tech 2, Equipment Maintenance
Pay: $23.50 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shift ? 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Schedule: Sunday ? Thursday

We are seeking a Mechanical Production Technician with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills to support manufacturing equipment operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production equipment to ensure high performance, quality output, and minimal downtime.

This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical backgrounds in manufacturing, automotive repair, HVAC, machinery, or industrial equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

? Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns on the production floor
? Perform machine setup, changeovers, optimization, and troubleshooting
? Maintain equipment to meet production standards and minimize downtime
? Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine root causes
? Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
? Monitor equipment performance, waste levels, and production quality
? Maintain accurate equipment logs including downtime and maintenance records
? Support maintenance teams during major repairs
? Ensure safety guards, control panels, and machine systems function properly
? Monitor component inventory and notify material handlers when supplies run low
? Clear machine jams and restart operations safely
? Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
? Maintain a clean and organized production environment
? Work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Required Qualifications

Education
? High School Diploma or GED required (candidates MUST have proof of education available (diploma, transcript, or equivalent) to proceed in the hiring process.)

Required Skills (Candidates must have these to be considered)

1. Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience

2. Experience using feeler gauges and tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances

3. Familiarity with mechanical systems such as:

?cams and cam followers
?rod ends and bushings
?chain drives and conveyors
?gear boxes
?vacuum and pneumatic systems
?ball valves

4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs

5. Hands-on mechanical background working with industrial or mechanical equipment

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:

? High-speed manufacturing environments
? Automotive mechanics (car engines, boat engines)
? HVAC systems
? Low-voltage electronics or sensors
? Machinist experience
? Industrial production equipment maintenance

Additional Requirements

? Ability to set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment
? Ability to read mechanical blueprints and follow troubleshooting procedures
? Strong teamwork and communication skills
? Continuous improvement mindset

Vision Requirement:
An eye exam is required upon hire. Candidates must have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or successfully pass a color vision exam.
