Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Assembly & Test Technician to accurately and efficiently assemble and test moderate to semi-complex products in a high-technology manufacturing environment. This role supports customer quality and on-time delivery objectives and requires strong mechanical aptitude, soldering experience, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical and electrical components, hydraulic systems, and testing equipment, and will actively contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities
Perform moderate to semi-complex assembly and testing using hand tools, power tools, electronic/mechanical tools, and inspection equipment.

Set up and operate test equipment for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and cryogenic systems according to product specifications.

Verify test stand accuracy and make necessary adjustments to meet required specifications.

Conduct tests using computerized data acquisition systems (e.g., LabVIEW), oscilloscopes, transducers, X-Y recorders, and related equipment.

Interpret and record test results accurately; troubleshoot and rework discrepancies.

Perform diagnostic teardown and rebuilding of assemblies, evaluating component suitability.

Assemble, test, and solder products to customer and industry standards.

Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, and test specifications.

Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities.

Maintain a safe, FOD-free work environment and ensure equipment calibration compliance.

Assist in training less experienced team members as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of direct industry experience in assembly and testing within a high-technology manufacturing environment.

Soldering experience required.

Strong mechanical reasoning with hydraulic and/or electrical background.

Experience with semi-complex products involving electronics, dual systems, and multiple part families.

Ability to troubleshoot, research issues, and develop effective repair solutions.

Proficient in reading blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.

Ability to perform semi-complex mathematical calculations, including measurement conversions.

Working knowledge of fluids theory, leakage, flow, friction, and pressure principles.

Effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
