Title: Instrument Assembly Technician (Level 3) ? Medical Devices Location: Sparks Glencoe / Hunt Valley, MD 21152 (Onsite) Schedule: Monday?Friday, 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PM (mandatory overtime as needed) Pay: $23.00/hour + overtime Type: Full?time | Temp?to?perm in 45-90 days (performance dependent) Why You?ll Love This Role Competitive pay with steady weekday hours and OT opportunities Benefits: medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options Temp?to?perm path (45-90 days) in a stable, clean medical manufacturing environment Real impact: help build instruments used in healthcare What You?ll Do Assemble and integrate electromechanical medical instruments from sub?assemblies to final build Perform wiring, cable harnessing, hand soldering, and precision mechanical assembly to blueprint tolerances Execute basic testing on components/modules and review results to determine pass/fail Troubleshoot and repair moderately complex assembly issues Conduct in?process quality inspections and maintain accurate device history records (serials, tooling) Identify defects; recommend and support continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives Mentor/assist teammates on drawings, workmanship standards, and basic test activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; follow GMP and all safety/quality policies Flex for mandatory overtime to meet production needs What You Bring Minimum: High School diploma or GED and 2.5+ years of manufacturing/assembly experience or Technical AA with relevant experience (regulated environment preferred) Ability to read drawings/blueprints and follow work instructions Proficiency with mechanical tools (e.g., torque drivers, gauges, calipers) Sound troubleshooting skills; comfort with repetitive tasks and standing for long periods Basic PC/Windows skills and solid written/verbal English Nice to Have: Experience in FDA/GMP or other regulated environments Leadership/mentoring exposure and Lean/CI participation (Kaizen, 5S, blitzes) A Day in the Life You?ll start with a quick team huddle, review your build queue, and move through precision electromechanical assembly steps using drawings and standard work. You?ll run basic tests, log results, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering or Quality if anything needs a tweak.
