Description

Position Summary-
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop embedded software solutions supporting advanced ammunition handling systems, thermal management systems, aeromechanical systems, turbo machinery, and related electronic platforms. This role requires hands-on development experience, strong systems thinking, and the ability to support integration and testing in both in-house and field environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
-Perform requirement analysis, allocation, derivation, and traceability
-Conduct trade studies and risk analysis to support design decisions
-Develop system architecture and detailed module designs
Implement, verify, and validate embedded software modules in C/C++
-Develop algorithms, modeling, and simulation using MATLAB
-Ensure compliance with customer safety, regulatory, and security standards
-Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations
-Support in-house integration, verification, validation, and field testing
-Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams

Qualifications-
Education & Experience
-Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science (BSCS), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related field
-5?7 years of relevant embedded software development experience
-Master?s degree preferred

Technical Requirements-
Strong command of software engineering methodologies and best practices for embedded systems development
Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications
Experience with multiple Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) models (Waterfall, V-Model, Iterative, Incremental, Spiral, Agile)
Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
Extensive hardware interface development experience, including:
Board bring-up
Operating system bring-up
Device driver development
Proficiency with hardware interfaces and protocols including:
UART, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS422
CAN, TCP/IP, UDP
Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, digital multimeter)

Preferred Qualifications-
Experience with MOSA principles
Familiarity with FACE Technical Standards
RTOS experience
Knowledge of safety-critical software processes and architectures compliant with RTCA/DO-178
