Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Slip Sheet Operator to join our warehouse distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling slip sheets and supporting various warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping, and receiving. This role requires experience with heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management systems to ensure smooth and safe operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate slip sheet equipment and other heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials.
Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory control.
Load and unload shipments safely while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols.
Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing products for dispatch or receipt.
Perform heavy lifting tasks and materials handling to maintain efficient workflow.
Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related roles within a warehouse environment.
Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and order picking processes.
Prior experience in shipping & receiving or construction environments is a plus.
Warehouse supervisor experience or background in heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse setting where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are valued highly.
