Test Technician 1 Location: Sparks / Hunt Valley, MD Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (OT as needed) Pay: $25/hour Type: Temp to Perm (medical device manufacturing) About the Role We are hiring an Instrument Test Technician I to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of moderately complex medical instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will work hands on with mechanical, electrical, optical, and motion based systems while following detailed test procedures, blueprints, and GMP quality standards. This role is ideal for candidates with electromechanical troubleshooting experience who enjoy diagnostics, assembly work, and technical problem solving. Key Responsibilities Build, integrate, and test medical instruments using drawings, schematics, and work instructions Perform functional, performance, and release testing on assigned instruments Analyze test data and determine pass/fail results Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic software related issues Optimize system performance (alignment, calibration, precision motion, optical components) Support root???cause analysis, rework, and corrective actions Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs) Accurately complete test documentation and device history records Maintain GMP, safety, and housekeeping standards Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Materials as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma/GED and 3+ years manufacturing or technical experience OR associate degree in a technical field with 1 to 2 years experience Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and test procedures Hands on experience with mechanical or electrical troubleshooting Ability to use tools such as torque drivers, gauges, calipers, multimeters, etc. Strong documentation skills and understanding of GMP or other regulated environments Basic computer skills, Windows proficiency Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands on technical work Preferred Experience with functional instrument testing Familiarity with optical or motion control systems Prior experience completing QNs, deviations, or test reports Why Apply?
