Pay Rate - $54/hr Shift: Day Shift, 5x8, 36 hours guaranteed Job Description We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join a medical unit supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations. The Respiratory Therapist will deliver high-quality respiratory care services, work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and make sound clinical decisions based on patient assessment, diagnostic data, and physician consultation. This role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings Perform respiratory procedures using department-provided equipment in accordance with established protocols Assess patients and evaluate indications, contraindications, and potential hazards related to respiratory therapies Deliver care to patients with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses; wound care exposure may occur Monitor patient response to therapy and modify treatment plans as appropriate Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in Epic EMR Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate care Utilize clinical data, lab results, and patient assessments to make rational and evidence-based decisions Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines Required Qualifications Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) ? active certification required BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience Strong knowledge of respiratory procedures, equipment, and therapeutic modalities Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in medical units Prior travel assignment experience Familiarity with Epic EMR Experience treating complex patient populations, including neurological and orthopedic cases | |
