Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Design Engineer to serve as a technical authority throughout the product design and validation lifecycle. This role requires close collaboration with customer engineering teams, internal cross-functional partners, and manufacturing operations to ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

The selected candidate will lead technical design reviews, conduct analysis and product validation testing, and support design-for-manufacturability initiatives while maintaining compliance with customer specifications and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Customer Collaboration

Lead technical design review meetings with customer engineers, serving as the subject matter expert on product design and analysis.

Review, interpret, and comprehend customer design specifications and technical requirements.

Communicate effectively with customers to develop solutions that address performance, dimensional, and application requirements.

Analyze performance criteria and dimensional requirements, including dimensional variation analysis.

Product Validation & Testing

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test stands and related equipment.

Conduct product validation and verification testing to ensure compliance with design and performance specifications.

Prototype & Development Support

Fabricate development hardware by operating manufacturing equipment.

Order, schedule, and coordinate necessary equipment and resources for development activities.

Monitor project progress and identify nonconformance related to cost, schedule, and delivery goals.

Cross-Functional Support

Provide engineering support to Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance teams.

Analyze and evaluate product applications, manufacturability, and performance with respect to cost, quality, delivery, and safety requirements.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

Create and review product designs with a focus on manufacturability and performance.

Establish tolerances that reflect manufacturing capabilities and functional requirements.

Apply knowledge of in-house manufacturing methods, techniques, and capabilities.

Improve existing designs through engineering changes and continuous improvement efforts.

Ensure clarity and accuracy of design and process documentation, including drawings, specifications, and routings, to support production personnel.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
