Irvine, CA | $62.00/HR Position Overview: The Senior Test Technician Specialist performs complex evaluations, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on production and customer returned electronics assemblies and subassemblies. Create detailed reports on customer return units and assist with Quality and Engineering with failure analysis reports to identify root cause. Assists in the creation and maintenance of repair procedures as required in support of product or process improvement initiatives. Extreme focus and hi-level attention to detail is a must. RF testing and theory are essential to the job as well as performing the vital duties listed below. Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have 8+ Years of direct experience in Environmental, RF, Microwave and RADAR compliance testing. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, systems and subsystems by executing the essential functions listed below: Extensive knowledge of RF/Microwave communication subsystems, filters, antennas, radar, motors, and electronic control systems is required. High performing individual capable of troubleshooting to component level on complex electronic circuits. Must be able to perform evaluations and repairs on field returns that include detailed failure analysis reports. Performs Environmental, Vibration, Shock and Acceleration testing to MIL Standards. Vast experience with RF/electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, RF generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc... Requires strong oral/written communication skills and ability to take direction from written and verbal instructions, drawings, and Acceptance Test Procedures. Required to work independently and with interdepartmental teams. Develop understanding of operation and parametric behavior of RF components. US Citizen and Secret Security Clearence required. This role is responsible for performing complex inspection and compliance testing on a variety of parts, assemblies, and systems, ensuring that products meet strict quality, safety, and technical standards. The position requires interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation, performing precise measurements using a wide range of tools and equipment, and maintaining accurate inspection and calibration records. The ideal candidate works effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to resolve issues and maintain production standards. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with inspection tools, gaging setups, and testing procedures are essential. The role may also involve RF, Microwave, Environmental, or RADAR compliance testing, depending on the department, and requires adherence to safety guidelines and the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25?50 pounds as needed, with fine visual acuity and manual dexterity for precision work. | |
