As a Test Technician, you?ll combine mechanical, electrical, and software expertise to build, test, and optimize sophisticated medical devices. Pay Rate: $27/hour

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate?s Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field
OR
5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or software troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment (medical device experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities

System Testing & Analysis: Perform comprehensive system analysis and testing on production instruments to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting & Resolution: Conduct basic electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting to diagnose issues in test equipment, providing solutions based on established pass/fail criteria.

Process Improvement: Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements, contributing to ongoing quality enhancement (Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing).

Assembly Expertise: Understand and execute the entire assembly process for instruments in the production area.

Documentation & Compliance: Complete all production activities in strict compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (GMP) and BD's safety and quality standards.


Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Aptitude: Fundamental knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.) and proficiency in reading drawings, interpreting specifications, and measuring dimensions.

Problem-Solving: Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to use independent judgment for planning, decision-making, and troubleshooting.

Continuous Improvement Mindset: A strong commitment to Lean Manufacturing philosophies and active participation in process improvements.

Communication & Leadership: Proven leadership capability, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor and coach others (for experienced hires).

Work Ethic: The ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks, adapt to frequent assignment changes, and work effectively in a team setting.

Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with PCs and a Windows environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
