Pay: $15.50/hr Schedule: Monday?Thursday, 6:00 AM?4:30 PM Start Date: ASAP Job Summary: The Refuse Associate supports the daily collection of residential and small-business trash and bulky items. This role involves riding on the back of the truck, assisting with loading, operating basic hydraulic controls, issuing tag/decal notices when needed, and providing customer assistance regarding refuse rules. Responsibilities: Load refuse, bulk, and brush materials along assigned routes Operate hydraulic mechanisms for dumping and compacting Report and tag improper set-outs Perform daily equipment checks and light maintenance Assist with training new team members Participate in safety and team training Support emergency operations as needed (e.g., snow removal) Requirements: High school diploma or GED Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs occasionally) Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work outdoors in all weather Strong communication and teamwork skills Must pass required background checks Work Environment: Outdoor, physically demanding work with exposure to weather, odors, and moving equipment. | |
