We are currently hiring for an Assembly Process Technician. Join a well-known automotive parts manufacturing facility in the Fraser, MI area! The role of an Assembly Process Technician is to set up tools and machines at the start of and during production/forming, respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. Responsibilities ? Work with Vacuum forming machines, Vibe/Sonic Welders, Punch Presses and secondary equipment, on tooling and process issues to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. ? Monitor process and product quality while tooling runs. ? Maintain and improve Quality. ? Work with Process Engineering to reduce downtime and improve process efficiency. ? Participate in improving tool changeover times, by using SMED, and conducting material changes while machine continues running. ? Identify any issues or problems due to the processes and report them to Supervisor. ? Participate in maintaining tooling and equipment thru PM Program. ? Record downtime and scrap. ? Able to addresses and correct processing issues. ? Work flexibility in order to meet customer demands and needs. ? Work flexibility in order to meet customer requirements. ? All other assigned duties. Knowledge/Skills: ? Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment. ? Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety and Environment skills ? Strong technical problem-solving skills with knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotic programming, and electrical equipment. ? Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills ? Ability to work in a matrix organization. ? Proficient level of English required. Education/Experience: ? At least 3 years of manufacturing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment ?
