Product Repair Technician (Temp-Hire) ?? Location: Simi Valley, CA ?? Shift: 1st Shift | Monday ? Friday, 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PM ?? Pay Range: $26.60 ? $31/hour About the Role We are seeking a skilled Product Repair Technician to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will perform inspections, teardowns, overhauls, functional testing, and repairs on customer-returned equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a detail-oriented approach. This role offers potential development opportunities within the FAA Repair Station ? MRO, including advancement to other technical positions. Key Responsibilities Perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing on various repair station products. Ensure all repairs are performed according to procedures and correct document revisions. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair shop equipment as needed. Document all repairs and re-certifications in compliance with regulatory, customer, and departmental requirements. Assist in product improvement initiatives and implement new procedures as needed. Complete necessary trainings to maintain knowledge and skills for job performance. Follow all safety and quality standards (5S and FOD free practices). Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain consistent, punctual attendance and flexibility for variable schedules if required. Requirements Must Haves: 2-5 years of hands-on repair experience. Ability to perform teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of repair station products. Strong reading comprehension of manuals, blueprints, and written work instructions. Ability to recognize and solve typical problems in your work area using established solutions. Computer proficiency and ability to document repair work accurately. Nice to Haves: FAA Repair Station or MRO experience. Knowledge of SAP systems. Demonstrated 5S and FOD-free work practices. Willingness to learn new tasks and systems. Preferred Certifications: J-STD-001 IPC-610 Skills: Excellent technical skills in product repair and troubleshooting to component level. Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance. |
