Materials Handler (Contract) ?? Location: Simi Valley, CA ?? Shift: 1st Shift | Monday ? Friday, 5:00 AM ? 1:30 PM ?? Pay Rate: $20/hour About the Role We are seeking a skilled Materials Handler (Contract) to support our production operations in Simi Valley. This role ensures the accurate and timely flow of materials throughout the facility, including receiving, stocking, inventory control, and shipping. Candidates must bring hands-on material handling experience and SAP proficiency, with preference for those from aerospace, medical, or automotive manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Receive, stock, and distribute parts/materials to production areas. Load/unload trucks, verify shipments against purchase orders, and maintain accurate records. Reject and document unsatisfactory items when necessary. Conduct cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits. Prepare goods for final shipment, including posting weights and shipping charges. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Must Haves: 2+ years of material handling experience in a production environment. SAP experience (required). High school diploma or equivalent. Nice to Haves: Background in aerospace, medical, or automotive manufacturing. Experience with shipping, receiving, and logistics. Skills: Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database tools. Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and small hand tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
