Position: 2nd Shift Mechanical/Hydraulic Repair Technician
Pay Rate: $36.37/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:20 PM ? 11:40 PM (20-minute unpaid lunch)
Will train on 1st shift for up to 90 days
Location: Union Facility

Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled Mechanical/Hydraulic Repair Technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on machinery, hydraulic systems, and test equipment. The ideal candidate works independently, interprets technical documents, and ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and hydraulic repairs on machinery, equipment, hydraulic test stands, and pump systems.

Operate machine tools and perform bending/fitting of hydraulic tubing, installation of valves, gauges, filters, heat exchangers, and pumps.

Repair valves, pumps, regulators, filters, tubing leaks, ball screws, and moving assemblies.

Fabricate and rework parts to precise specifications when necessary.

Perform routine maintenance: change oils/filters, lubricate machinery, and maintain records in the maintenance database.

Troubleshoot mechanical failures, hydraulic system issues, and low-voltage electrical problems (up to 120V).

Use precision measuring instruments for accurate repairs and alignments.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department/facility.

Qualifications:

UAW Machine Repairer Journeyman Card, Department of Labor (DOL) Machine Repair Journeyman card, or 8 years of verifiable industrial experience in mechanical/hydraulic machinery repair and maintenance.

Ability to pass required skilled/aptitude test.

Strong blueprint, schematic, and technical manual interpretation skills.

Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and low-voltage electrical systems.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
