Position Summary: We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician/Order Picker to support operations within a medical-focused distribution center. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing, staging, and shipping sensitive medical supplies. The assignment begins as a contract role with an expectation to convert to permanent status within 45 days for those who demonstrate strong performance and commitment. 2st shift - 2pm-10:30pm Pay rate - $19.50 Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Must haves on the resume ? 1. Two years of experience operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) 2. Effective and accurate case picking skills 3. Comfortable reading pick tickets, labels, and using handheld scanners or RF devices Must have Electric Pallet Jack experience HS DIploma or GED Safety shoes Summary: Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.. The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment; experience with healthcare or medical supplies is preferred. Familiarity with inventory systems and standard warehouse technology. Ability to lift 50lbs. as needed. Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and team-oriented mindset. Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts, as required.
