DESCRIPTION:

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the facility. This role supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are properly received, stored, issued, and tracked. The Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety standards, and supporting timely production schedules.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and supplies for quality and accuracy.
Store materials in designated locations following organizational and safety guidelines.
Pick, pack, and issue materials to production lines or other departments according to work orders or requests.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
Ensure proper labeling and documentation of materials throughout the handling process.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, and quality teams to support smooth workflow and timely delivery.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, complying with all safety and regulatory requirements
Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a commitment to safety.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Working Conditions:
Use of protective clothing, goggles, helmets with protective lenses, and other equipment to prevent burns and eye injuries.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to physically move parts and assemble stores racking. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.
