JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Pilot Manufacturing Line Engineer / Supervisor for our client in Shakopee, MN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $68.18/Hour Overview: We are hiring a contract Pilot Manufacturing Line Engineer/Supervisor to lead a new low-volume production line for a new product. This position involves getting the line up and running, staffing it with contract help, and leading the team to meet production goals. You will be responsible for leading a team of 10?20 assemblers and technicians, supporting production, and working closely with engineering to troubleshoot and optimize processes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Install optical connectors (manual process); support pilot line operations to ship product to the customer Learn the new technology and help onboard technicians and operators to staff the line Supervise and collaborate with approximately 17 employees on the production line Help hire and train new employees Prioritize and manage workload by allocating resources appropriately Address concerns with line employees and maintain a safe, productive working environment Assist in manufacturing process development with Design and Manufacturing Engineers Troubleshoot equipment and assist in resolving issues under supervision Order materials and maintain inventory (including revision level tracking and record retention) Assist in documenting NPI production processes and revise documentation as needed Coordinate shipping of production orders Make decisions to uphold the client?s quality expectations Manage quarantine of materials and oversee sorting/retesting when required Must-Haves: Experience working with higher-tech equipment Strong organizational skills and experience managing employees 3?5 years of experience supervising employees Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline, OR a two-year technical degree with a strong, proven track record Two or more years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing Experience supervising a team Basic troubleshooting and process optimization skills Familiarity with precision measurement equipment and methods Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills Proficiency in Excel Flexibility to take on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities to support the project's success Good to Have: Telecom experience (not required) Materials planning experience Experience with custom automated equipment Experience assembling small components |
