2nd Shift: 2:10pm-10:40pm

Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform all blade preparations prior to the paint application process which include but are not limited to ?
- Sandblasting of blade
- Sanding of green blade
- Sanding of repaired areas in preparation of filling
- Rough filling of blade repairs, filters, and other areas
- Geometric sanding of rough fill to blade geometry
- Fine filling of blade to blade geometry
- Paint and paint repair of blade.
- Application of final finishing components to blade standards.

PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Ability to use hand & power tools safely.
3. Previous paint application experience preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. The employee must certify on the 3C requirements for filling and sanding to specifications prior to paint.
2. Within the qualifying period, the employee must complete the required equipment specific training requirements and process applications.
3. Acquire forklift and crane license.
4. Ability to read, write and understand metric measuring system.
5. Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
6. Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day
7. Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days


WORKING PROCEDURES:

1. Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions.
2. Operate blade handling equipment as needed.
3. Document painting application as required.
4. Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted or industry standards.
5. Set up, operate, and maintain painting application equipment per work instructions.
6. Perform visual inspections as required.
7. Work with or under the direction of managers and engineers.
8. Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations.
9. Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
10. Provide technical direction to other employees as required.
11. Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
12. Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.
