Job Title: Paralegal Location: New York, NY 10003 Schedule: Onsite | Monday ? Friday, 8:30 AM ? 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour Contract Length: 6-month contract with potential for extension Overview: We are seeking a skilled Paralegal with a strong background in New York insurance defense litigation and New York practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience drafting discovery responses and motions, handling legal authorizations, and supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation. Key Responsibilities: Draft and respond to discovery demands and motions. Prepare pleadings and handle legal filings on NYSEF and PACER. Manage document production, organize case files, and track court deadlines. Perform legal research and cite checking. Initiate and manage legal holds using software tools. Coordinate with internal teams for responsive documents and litigation support. Draft good faith letters and maintain detailed, accurate legal records. Review and apply CPLR and court rules related to submission timelines. Maintain electronic document repositories and review platforms. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience with New York Insurance Defense Litigation. Strong knowledge of CPLR and court procedures. Skilled in discovery response drafting and motion practice. Proficient with PACER and NSEF e-filing systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good faith letter writing and legal documentation expertise. Authorization processing experience is required. | |
