Weekly Pay! $22.00/Hour Shift Details: 1st shift Day Starts at: 07:00AM Day End at : 05:00PM JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Summary: We are seeking a hands-on, safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Fire Hydrant Maintenance Technician. This role involves fieldwork focused on the restoration and upkeep of fire hydrants, including sandblasting, priming, and painting. The ideal candidate is dependable, trainable, and comfortable working outdoors in a physically active role. Key Responsibilities: Ride along with a full-time associate to various job sites (no driving required). Operate sandblasting equipment to clean fire hydrants (training provided). Wipe down hydrants post-sandblasting to prepare for painting. Apply primer using a paint spray system; allow 24-hour curing time. Return to apply final paint coat using the same spray equipment. Perform light maintenance on equipment such as cleaning compressor filters and pressure washing. Lift and load sandbags (up to 30?40 lbs) into sandblasting equipment. Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times. Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks outdoors. Willingness to learn and follow detailed safety and operational procedures. Strong work ethic and reliability. Work Environment: Outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions. Use of PPE including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing. Team-oriented environment with support and training provided. Responsibilities: Operate and maintain a wide variety of mechanical tools Perform routine operating functions and troubleshooting on all equipment Repair damaged equipment back to good working order by applying mechanical knowledge to problem solve Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to improve the capabilities of the maintenance team Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment, machinery, and instruments so that it aligns with production specifications or instructions Advise managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems Responsible for painting various surfaces as required and in accordance with established safety procedures Performs all job duties according to OSHA standards May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities Qualifications: Prior experience using standard hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, etc.) and specialty hand tools (pipe wrench, soldering and welding equipment, etc.) Experience using electric tools (table saw, jigsaw, circular/miter saw, etc.) Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
