We are currently hiring for Manufacturing Operator for a local manufacturer in Watertown, NY. $16.50/hour Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for all production. Assists the Manufacturing Supervisor with all receiving and shipping functions in the Watertown Manufacturing Division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: 1. Maintains proper inventory levels as directed by Supervisor. 2. Follows all safety precautions as instructed by the materials manager or Safety Department. 3. Makes out daily reports for the cement division listing raw materials received, products returned from job sites and all transfers made, products made, raw materials used, etc. 4. Ensures that the laboratory receives required samples of both raw materials and finished products. 5. Ensures that all formulations set by the lab are being followed properly. 6. Completes all orders for shipments according to releases supplied by purchasing. 7. Maintains proper inventory levels by working with the Materials Manager who handles the ordering. 8. Performs a wide variety of cement division tasks. 9 Keeps all raw materials and all products safely and neatly arranged, keeping the work area clean to ensure a safe and efficient operation. 10. Able to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. 11. Attends seminars and training as requested or required. 12. Develops and/or recommends cost saving or time savings ideas.
