This role plays a critical part in supporting operations and quality engineering efforts through product inspection, process validation, and documentation development. The position is ideal for someone early in their quality or manufacturing career looking to apply and expand their technical skills. Position Overview: The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing and inspection processes meet established quality standards. The role supports both the Quality and Operations teams by performing product evaluations, creating inspection documentation, and conducting analysis to identify root causes of product or process issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interpret engineering drawings, process documents, and procedures to support operational activities. Assist the Quality department with development activities, including process evaluation and validation. Prepare product control plans, inspection procedures, and measurement reports under guidance. Support process qualification initiatives to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and analyze product or equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate the selection and procurement of inspection tooling and equipment using formal approval processes. Serve as a liaison between quality engineering and operations to communicate technical requirements. Maintain consistent documentation and reporting to ensure traceability and compliance. Required Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of quality systems and standards in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inspection methods and use of measurement tools. Able to apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving techniques. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Education and Experience: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 0 to 3 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or engineering support role. |
