JobsRUs.com is hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a large automotive parts manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN.

The role of a Plant Maintenance technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities.

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities include:
? Install, repair, and maintain all equipment and facilities

? Perform preventive maintenance in a deep equipment level

? Analyze breakdowns: Spare parts needs, root cause, action to avoid re-occurrence, and
preventive checklist modification

? Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment

? Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality

? Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime

? Record operational data such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up, and preventive maintenance records

? Review production schedule, and when equipment is not scheduled for production, perform scheduled maintenance

? Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all
facilities and process efficiency

? Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing
equipment and facilities

? Ensure manufacturing, Health, Safety and Environment, and maintainability requirements are met

? Set up requisition for supplies, equipment, and facilities

? Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime

? Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance

? Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment

? Perform minor repairs to building fixtures

? Perform minor plumbing repairs, clean electrical fixtures, replace bulbs, and paint

? Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy

? Adhere to all work rules and procedures

? Clean, paint equipment, seal floors, clean floors, and paint lines around equipment when line is down or when assigned

? Actively participate in work teams

? Submit at least one improvement idea per month

? Perform other duties as requested

Skills/Knowledge:

Electrical wiring and mechanical skills

? Knowledge of PLC equipment

? Working Knowledge of Ladder logic and network protocols

? Strong computer skills

? Knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental

? Strong technical problem solving skills

? Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

? Satisfactory company work record, including attendance

? Successful completion of the company?s in-house training program

? Ability to follow instruction verbal and written

? Excellent math, language, and reading skills required

? Ability to communicate with employees of all levels

? Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner

? Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to company's Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Minimum education level:

Technical diploma and/or a Journeyman Card
