We are seeking 2 reliable Yard Hostlers to manage our yard operations efficiently. Pay: $20.50 - $22 Location: Carson , CA , 90745 We are looking to fill one first shift position and one second shift position First shift opening: 7 am - 3:45 pm Second shift opening: 4 pm - 12:30 am This is a temp to hire position Class A license is preferred but isn't required Candidate must have 1 year of experience Yard Hostler responsibilities include ensuring timely and correct movement of trailers at the facility, inspecting equipment for any damage, and maintaining clean and safe yard areas. Our ideal candidate has experience with yard operations, has excellent driving skills, and is familiar with safety procedures and regulations. Candidate will also be expected to help inside with warehouse operations , general labor , forklift operation .n Ultimately, the role of the Yard Hostler is to ensure smooth yard operations while adhering to safety and company policies. Responsibilities Coordinate and direct the movement of trailers in the yard Inspect trailers and equipment for potential damage and report any issues Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of hostler trucks Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company regulations Maintain a clean and safe yard area Communicate effectively with dispatchers and yard personnel Assist in loading and unloading trailers as necessary Assist with warehouse labor when there is downtime in the `yard Candidate with forklift experience and certification preferred Qualifications Proven work experience as a Yard Hostler or similar role , 1 year experience , required to pass a driving evaluation Valid driver?s license and good driving record Ability to operate yard truck and other equipment safely and efficiently Excellent understanding of safety procedures and company regulations Reliable with good attendance Must pass E-verify , Background check , Motor Driving Record | |
