Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving area. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely shipment of goods, handling incoming deliveries, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipping:

Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately.
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
Ensure all shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, shipping labels) are complete and accurate.
Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
Receiving:

Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Unload, verify, and organize inventory upon arrival.
Handle discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues.
Update inventory management systems with received goods.
Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies when necessary.
Ensure the storage area is organized, clean, and adheres to safety regulations.
Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with the warehouse team to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., Sales, Production) to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Liaise with external vendors, carriers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate?s or bachelor?s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with inventory management software and shipping tools.
Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to [weight] lbs).
Skills:
Knowledge of shipping procedures and standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations.
Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, inventory systems).
Forklift certification (preferred).
Working Conditions:

Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
