Warehouse Lead Job Description: Responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory and stock control. Ensures that storage areas and warehouse is kept organized and clean. Directs activities of warehouse personnel involved in receiving and shipping. JOB DUTIES: ? Assists Warehouse Supervisor in development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures. ? Provides direction to team members for day to day work assignments. ? Using pick ticket reviews, prioritizes, prepares, and issues raw materials to batching/production department on a daily basis; ensures FIFO is followed. ? Conducts monthly inventory counts of all raw materials for all customers. ? Load/unload trailers ensuring trailer locking device is used at all times; fills out pertinent documentation. ? Check and verify raw materials received are not defected or damaged, and reports any damages to supervisor. ? Communicates with Warehouse Supervisor regarding personnel issues and requests so those can be addressed. ? Helps train new warehouse personnel. ? Cares for equipment/housekeeping: does not damage forklift, keeps work area clean and organized. ? Ensures all safety techniques and GMP are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities. ? Transport raw materials between warehouses using company vehicle as needed. ? Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SKILLS/QUALIFICATION: ? Minimum of 1 - 2 year experience as a warehouse lead. Manufacturing experience preferred. ? High school diploma or equivalent required. ? Clean driving record and forklift experience + certification required. ? Strong inventory skills. ? Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. ? Ability to perform basic math calculations, read and record written instructions, and strong communications skills. ? Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace environment. ? Perform repetitive and non-repetitive physical duties. ? Requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Job Type: Full-time Requirements: ? This is a forklift heavy position. At least 6hrs of the shift will require operation of the forklift. ? The ability to lift 50lbs, as there is occasional lifting of ingredient bags and other items. ? Bi-lingual is a preferred ? Must have a clean driving record so that they can be placed under company insurance to drive company truck. ? It's mandatory to work Saturday's when Saturday work is scheduled. ? Work hours are Mon-Fri 14:45-23:30 ? Pay rate $20/hr + Shift Differential.
