JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager for our client! Benefits Available! Pay Rate - $30/hr Job Description Responsible for managing the general accounting function. Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: Someone who can work with in all of the accounting processes. Will have to assist and with the journal entries and necessary posting are done Filling in horizontally (to include both reviewing others' work as well as potentially completing tasks of their own)...to flex down and prepare journal entries themselves, req conciliation, etc. Experience with fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, Expense Accruals for add media & Investments, intercompany accounting experience with multiple entities (Zillow has a lot of companies under one umbrella), etc. Designation of CPA may be required. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance/accounting (a must) and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures including strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. Have at least one of the areas of Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, or Expense Accruals & Investments. Ideally would like all 3 but experience must reflect at least one of these areas. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles Nice to Have: Workday CPA (Strongly desired but would consider without it IF they have extensive experience to make up for it) Experience within a large, tech or publicly traded company. <-- must have at least one of these. For example, if they have strong experience within a small organization but not tech or publicly traded...would not be a fit. Soft skills: Analytical thinker Communication skills Someone to come in and take initiative. Quick learner who can pick things up without a ton of instructions. | |
