JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Gas & Chemical Technician for our client in Sunnyvale, CA! Pay $19.75/Hour Hourly Pay Rates based on Experience: Entry-Level $24 - 28 Mid-Level $28 - 32 High-Level $32 or higher but only based on a high level of experience which is determined by the Hiring Manager. Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including: ? Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers ? Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance ? Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs ? Support of quality systems Physical Attributes: ? Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection) ? In some cases, Technicians must put on a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes ? Basic lifting (up to 40lbs) ? Bending of the knees and overhead reaching ? PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: ? High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications: ? Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus ? Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must ? Proficient with MS Office Suite ? Military training is welcomed ? Strong technical aptitude ?
