Weekly Pay! $62.06/Hour Shift Details: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EXPERIENCE 1 year cardiac tele Specialty: Tele UNIT: Working with CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (mostly AFib, flutter, SVT),respiratory, renal, hemodialysis patients. Overflow patients: sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/, isolation, GI bleeds. CERTIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS from AHA only DESCRIPTION: Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Cardiac Tele, inpatient only; ACLS. reading telemetry. Working with CHF, chest pain, renal, hemodialysis patients. Amio and Cardizem drips. Central lines (HD caths, Ports, PICCs). Preferred Skillset/Experience: Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation is a plus. Potential for dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitro, milrinone drips. Chest tubes, other drains. CIWA (withdrawal) protocol. We tend to be a fast-paced, high acuity card tele unit. We have monitor techs who watch our patients; there are also tele monitors at each nurse?s stations. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Client Service Standards Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Client Code of Conduct, Client Mission and Values and Client Service Standards. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patient post trauma, surgical interventions and medical comorbidities. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
