Seeking to hire a Horticulture Testing Technician for our client in Granville, OH! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! 46.74 Per Hour Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm Must haves Extensive experience designing test methods, data collection and analysis Some horticulture experience Must have at least an Associate Degree in a technical field Purpose of the Job Support innovation in the Horticulture Development Team by helping develop and implement new products and processes. Work with engineers in labs and manufacturing environments to meet growth and productivity goals. This role requires technical curiosity, handson skills, and the ability to create and test prototypes. Job Responsibilities Commit to safety and follow all safety procedures. Maintain a safe work environment, manage lab and work areas, maintain equipment, and update safety documentation. Participate in monthly safety meetings. Create product prototypes and evaluate design solutions. Develop tests to mimic customer applications and assess product performance. Build and operate lab and pilot-scale processes. Partner with Product Testing for test execution. Prepare samples for physical property measurements. Document test data in LIMS, lab notebooks, and reports. Support plant growth trials for growing media products. Assist in planning plant trials, focusing on safety. Prepare equipment and materials for trials. Coordinate trial closeout tasks, including shipping and material testing. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications Associate?s degree in a technical field. Hands on mechanical skills for building, operating, and maintaining equipment. Interest in design, prototyping, and manufacturing. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for long periods. Safe work practices. Experience in test design, data collection, and analysis. Willingness to travel up to 20 Percent, depending on project needs. Preferred Experience Bachelor?s degree in engineering or a science field. Experience in manufacturing or R and D. Skills in statistical and data analysis, and reporting. Key Skills and Abilities Safety conscious in all operations. Self starter and problem solver with minimal supervision. Eager to learn and understand new concepts. Detail oriented and thorough in documentation. Adaptable to changing conditions and priorities. | |
