JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Lab Technician for our client in Columbia! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $25.00/Hour Primary Responsibilities: As a Lab Technician, you will conduct necessary tests using complex lab equipment to analyze in-process and catalyst samples. You will be responsible for receiving, labeling, and safely storing samples to maintain their integrity. Following all safety protocols for handling hazardous materials is essential. You will perform lab tests, including sample preparation and data recording, and support maintenance activities, ensuring that necessary permits and safety paperwork are in order. Organizing and storing samples according to safety and regulatory requirements is crucial, as is completing training, daily inspections, and reporting equipment issues. Additionally, you will assist with training and job shadowing for fellow lab technicians, communicate results and equipment status to Lab and Operations Supervisors, and maintain accurate records and a safe, orderly workplace. Physical Requirements: The role requires adherence to safety protocols in hazardous environments, including working in adverse weather, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. You must be capable of performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders over 100 ft. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suits, and full-face respirators is mandatory. Required Qualifications: An Associate degree in chemical lab technology or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0, or 2+ years of related lab experience, is required. You must have the ability to work 12-hour shift rotations and overtime. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with proficiency in reading and following lab procedures and safety documentation. The ability to work effectively in a team, perform basic math skills, calculate formulas, and interpret written and oral instructions is essential. Knowledge of computer software is also required. Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in chemical lab technology or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred. Experience in a chemical laboratory environment is highly desirable.## | |
