Job Summary:
The Occupational Health Nurse will provide medical services to our client, including in-person and telephonic care. Responsibilities encompass emergency response, case management, compliance with regulations, and wellness program coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide initial support and treatment for injuries, manage worker's compensation cases, and document incidents.
Conduct and manage occupational injury/illness assessments, treatments, and case tracking.
Oversee Workers' Compensation cases to ensure timely resolution and return to work.
Offer medical advice to managers and HR on issues such as substance abuse, absenteeism, fitness for duty, vaccinations, and ergonomic concerns.
Verify return-to-work clearances, coordinate necessary job accommodations, and maintain site medical services in compliance with corporate and OSHA guidelines.
Perform physical exams for pre-employment, periodic reviews, and exit exams; manage medical surveillance programs.
Coordinate pre-employment medical services through third-party vendors for remote candidates.
Implement and maintain annual flu shot clinics, administer vaccines, and develop/update clinical protocols.
Provide medical expertise during emergency situations and train site Emergency Response Teams (ERT) on chemical antidotes.
Manage Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) program, OSHA compliance, and maintain antidote kits.
Facilitate site drug screening programs, maintain medical supplies, and coordinate equipment calibration.
Maintain and ensure confidentiality of medical records in compliance with OSHA and legal regulations.
Coordinate wellness opportunities such as blood drives and screenings.
Travel to corporate headquarters and medical clinic locations as required.
Collaborate with client medical staff and contribute to team meetings.
Qualifications:

BSN or RN with significant relevant experience.
Preferably 1 year of occupational health nursing experience.
Emergency Medical Responder certification (if required by local regulations).
BLS CPR Certified.
Preferably NIOSH Pulmonary Function Certification, COHC Certification, BAT Certification, and UDS collection certification (or willingness to train).
Additional Duties:

Assist in the development of corporate policies, programs, and processes for occupational health.
Maintain inventory and compliance documentation for medical supplies and equipment.
Document all medical interactions accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
