Our client is seeking a Telecom Field Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on customer sites across the U.S. with significant travel required. The Decom team is responsible for returning customer materials from site deployments back into inventory. This is a full-time position requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Work on customer sites across the U.S.
Book travel through Concur (travel costs covered by the client)
Adhere to customer security and safety policies
Identify and document parts for inventory management
Safely remove and repack telecom equipment according to guidelines
Prepare materials for shipping and handover to couriers
Update inventory management systems and project documentation
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings
Submit weekly expense reports
Maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications:

3-5 years of telecom experience
Experience with inventory control and management systems
Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and email (Google Docs is a plus)
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

Nice to Have:

Ability to travel to Canada
Basic knowledge of optical link characterization, AC/DC power, and electrostatic discharge precautions
Passport

Travel Requirements:

Willing to travel extensively for the first two months (M-F)
Post-training travel: 30-40% (domestic, with potential international trips)
Local travel requires the use of a personal vehicle with insurance

Valid driver's license and minimum auto insurance coverage required
Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours during peak periods
