JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Sourcing Specialist for our client in Columbus, IN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Hybrid Position! Pay Rate - $22.50/hr 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with no overtime Job Description Conducts complex analysis; applies analysis to purchasing process improvement initiatives. Identifies suppliers, pulls prints, and sends RFQ's. Understands how key purchasing principles are used toward assuring supply. Key Responsibilities: Independently carries out sourcing activities with understanding the impact of those activities on the end-to-end supply chain. Executes sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established processes reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery. Analyzes complex sourcing and purchasing initiatives and processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high quality goods and services. Ensures consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes. Supports purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, and process analysis. Understands the importance of compliance and is alert to situations that can pose risk to the company. Qualifications and Competencies: * Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. * Business insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to sourcing processes * Source to Pay Principles - Leverages key principles of the Source to Pay process to smoothly execute sourcing decisions, order placement, material/service acquisition and on-time payment of Suppliers. * Sourcing - Utilizes the purchasing functional system to support the Request For Quote process and establish a Total Cost of Ownership and define the supplier that is most likely to meet customer's needs. * Supplier Capacity Management - Leverages marketing forecast processes and data required from suppliers for capacity planning; links interrelationship between capacity management and product quality; assesses suppliers to ensure that they are capable of meeting demand for aftermarket. * Value Performance throughout the product life cycle to accurate piece price, and ensures continuance of supply from that supplier Education and Experience * College, university, or equivalent degree in supply chain management or a related subject * 1-3 years of related experience | |
