JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a R & D Lab Assistant for our client in Milwaukee, WI! Pay Rate $22.00 - 24.00/hr R & D Lab Assistant Temp to Perm position Schedule: Full-time, Mon - Thursday 6a - 4:30 pm (Fridays off), be willing to flex their hours once trained. No overtime pay. If their is extra work, it would be flexed out the next week. Education required: HS diploma or GED, however, an Associate degree or higher is preferred Years of Experience required: 1 year in a laboratory. Students are okay for candidates that can work full-time, not just a summer, recent grads What you bring: take initiative, be motivated to keep things moving, be a self-starter, have Excel sheet experience, be good in Math, pay attention to details, and be organized. Maintain inventory, keep up to date on orders and ship orders. Handling chemicals: maintaining inventory (ex.) once using a product to subtract it from inventory, working with closed bottles, making the solutions, and weighing out, they will handle the chemicals. Reliability, willingness to learn, not necessarily required to have chemistry experience or background, cannot be afraid of chemicals, comfortable with PPE (safety shoes, lab coats, air-hood, etc. all provided by client) Chemicals: RMD lab/ GLP, low-hazard solvents on occasion high-hazardous (sodium acid, 2 propanols (similar to gasoline) Working in Scientific Kitchen with direction from and alongside current employees will include the following: a) Making solutions in lab according to preparation sheet(s) b) Kitchen documentation with good documentation practices c) Proper packaging of solutions for shipping d) Creating shipping documentation e) Taking product to shipping dock f) Updating inventory g) Ordering supplies (internally and externally) h) Stocking of supplies (putting them away) i) Maintenance of instrumentation j) Weekly disinfecting of lab space and glassware k) Quoting new solutions l) Preparing new procedures m) Updating chemical costs n) Communication with end users and stockrooms at customers | |
