JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a General Laborer for our client in Hampshire, IL! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $18.00/Hour Mon-Fri 8 AM start. They may be asked to operate an electric walk behind pallet jack or manual pallet jack. Experience would be a plus but not a requirement. No particular brand required. We will train and certify anyone before they will be able to use the equipment. They will be working in a food production environment which means there will be loud sounds with machinery (we provide hearing protection), and it will be cold (around 34 degrees Fahrenheit and a little wet from the blood). Each position may be asked to work in a different area, but the qualifications and skills needed will be the same. The area they will be working in will be producing Italian sausage. We will need help will moving the raw materials around (raw meat that comes in boxes). The meat will be dumped into carts to be then loaded into meat grinders and mixed with spices. After the product is grinded and mixed, it goes through one last grinder that we have colleagues then packaging the sausage whether that is in bulk or creating sausage links. Once the product is packaged, it is boxed, labeled, and palletized. The pallets will then be moved to the warehouse or loaded onto trucks. Manager would like to do interviews this time around, but the interview will mainly consist of just showing the candidates what they will be doing and give them a chance to see the environment ? about 15 minutes. We would like candidates that have experience in a production/manufacturing or warehouse environment, so I would say 6 months or more of experience. They could be operating production machines, packing meat, labeling boxes, boxing product, loading, and unloading trucks. We will provide most of the training, but it will help if candidates have prior experience in the environment. They could be lifting up to 50 lbs. They will be working Sundays ? Friday. We may be looking to change it, but I want to make sure that we get candidates that are okay working Sundays. 3-5 Years of Experience, Performs general manual labor tasks including but not limited to: packing meat, operating production machines, labeling, palletizing, boxing, loading trucks, unloading trucks, and assisting with a variety of additional functions and manual labor tasks as needed. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a production/manufacturing environment. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent some experience in the field or in a related area, but usually does not require this level of education. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. | |
