Description

Technical Writer Systems is a technical role within the Client Corp Digitization and Product Lifecycle Management team responsible for performing system administrator duties in R and D systems. Role involves updating, changing, and obsoleting food ingredients, packaging materials, formula codes, and specification data while ensuring compliance with documented processes and naming conventions. Assist with organization and completion of standard and special requests and the logging and tracking of special requests. This ideal candidate must be proficient at working with complex data management software in order to retrieve the necessary information, and must be proficient in data analysis and interpretation. This individual must perform a variety of duties requiring the application of technical knowledge using established processes or protocols. Additionally, this individual must be able to effectively and independently plan and prioritize work to meet required Service Level Agreements and deadlines

Principal Responsibilities
Perform system administrator duties in the Opteva formula and ingredient data management system. Update, change, and obsolete food ingredient, packaging ingredient, formula codes, and specification data ensuring compliance with documented processes and naming conventions. Handle other data management related workflow requests in a timely and efficient manner.

This role assists in the upkeep and maintenance of our business-owned sites , including updating user guides, and document for help desk support.

Monitor and manage our Opteva ELN business help desk queue, prioritizing and assigning tickets based on urgency and technical expertise.

Job Complexity Scope
Ensure adherence to naming and obsolescence protocols within the formula management system for accuracy and compliance.
The role requires leveraging critical thinking and application expertise to autonomously handle low-risk tasks and collaboratively address medium to high risk challenges for continuous system improvement and effective problem solving
Must be able to deal with ambiguity, adapt quickly to change and persevere
Effectively communicate status, concerns to manager or Digitization team and appropriate cross functional partners.
Ability to learn new tools and other enterprise wide systems and solutions.

Job Specifications

Minimum education required; High school diploma, technical or BS Degree in a Science based field, Computer Science acceptable
Quick learner for tasks and software. Experience with Opteva PLM and an Electronic Notebook a bonus.
Capability to allocate a few hours during standard east coast business hours for regular team coordination meetings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaboration skills and an authentic desire to help others.
Detailed oriented and able to execute work in accordance with established documentation.
Comfortable planning & prioritizing day-to-day work. Asks questions and raises concerns on a timely basis
Demonstrated critical thinking skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Proficiency in Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP, along with effective data assessment is essential.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Job Specs and Complexity
Must have critical thinking skills and be able to follow a business process
Learn new tools they use Opteva prior experience w Opteva is a huge plus if they have the aptitude to learn new software quickly they will be open to that as well
Food Industry experience is not a MUST they would rather have a quick learner, and someone who can work independently by following business processes
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and then participate in collaboration meetings

Authentic desire to help others and PROBLEM SOLVE is a key for this role!
This role can be considered a hybrid role between technical writer and business analyst or a technical analyst; even data administrator title!
Opteva is a system that can be learned in a few days especially the portions that are required for this role!

PLM system administrator experience is helpful in this role as well
Electronic notebooks: small part of this role issues come in through the helpdesk they use the app to document instead of using a paper notebook. Their team is the business owner they help with user admin, project structure
