JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Material Handler for our client in Houston, TX! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $17.00/Hour 5:00am to 3:30pm JOB DESCRIPTION: As part of our team, you'll help move and organize parts for processing and storage. Here's what you'll be doing: Take out and weigh chips Load and unload trucks Arrange parts in the right places for processing Make sure the right parts are in the right order Help machine operators with their tasks Tell the supervisor if you notice any problems with parts or machines Write reports about what you've done each day Understand and follow company rules and instructions for work Keep your workspace safe and tidy, and follow all safety rules You won't be in charge of other people in this job. QUALIFICATIONS: To do this job well, you should: Have a high school diploma or GED Have six months of similar experience, or a mix of education and experience Be able to read safety rules and instructions, and write simple reports Know basic math Be able to understand and follow instructions Be able to solve simple problems You'll also need to be able to use a forklift and manlift safely, following OSHA standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job involves physical activity. You'll need to: Stand and talk or listen a lot Walk and use your hands and arms frequently Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crawl Lift and move things up to 50 pounds sometimes You'll also need good eyesight and the ability to focus well. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While working, you'll: Be around moving machine parts a lot Sometimes breathe in fumes or tiny particles in the air Occasionally be around chemicals, cold, heat, or loud noises | |
