Seeking to hire a Operations and Maintenance Specialist for our client in Grand Forks, ND 58202. Benefits and weekly pay available 28.00 8a to 5p Description The Operations and Maintenance Specialist position at Johnson Controls within the Building Technologies Solutions business focuses on maintaining University of North Dakota housing buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate should possess hands on technical expertise, maintenance experience, and leadership skills. Below is a simplified version of the job description Responsibilities Perform repairs and services in specialized building systems, emphasizing HVAC, mechanical systems, building maintenance, carpentry, painting, and plumbing. Monitor and adjust HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance. Conduct general maintenance, custodial activities, and facility repairs. Provide guidance and training to less experienced O&M Specialists. Plan and prepare materials for maintenance work. Adhere to safety procedures and company policies. Participate in an on call rotation for emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Completion of a two-year technical degree or equivalent, plus 5 years of experience in facility maintenance. Ability to maintain HVAC systems and troubleshoot various equipment. Knowledge of Metasys BMS and fire alarm suppression systems. Familiarity with building security systems is beneficial. Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification required. Understanding of UPS, generator systems, and electrical systems is a plus. Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks and lifting heavy objects. Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays. Valid driver's license may be required. Commitment to teamwork and quality work environment.
